The Elementary Education Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer (AAOT) degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to an Oregon public university and earn a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. This pathway helps you build a strong academic foundation while keeping your long-term teaching goals in focus.
The program follows Oregon’s Major Transfer Map for Elementary Education — a statewide agreement that outlines the courses you should take to stay on track for your major. By completing this degree, you’ll be positioned for a smoother transfer and junior standing at an Oregon university.
After earning your bachelor’s degree, you may be eligible to apply for an initial teaching license, depending on your transfer institution’s requirements. Because teacher preparation programs are competitive and vary by university, working closely with an academic advisor throughout the program is the best way to stay aligned and confident in your path.
