The Early Childhood Education (ECE) – Intermediate Career Pathway Certificate prepares you to take the next step in working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families. This program builds on the Basic certificate and supports work in child care centers, home-based child care, preschools, home visiting programs and parent education settings.
This three-term certificate is designed for new students and those already working in early childhood education. It fulfills the formal training requirement for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and the requirements for Oregon Registry: Pathways to Professional Recognition in Childhood Care and Education (ORO) Step 8.
The ECE – Intermediate certificate is the second step in the Early Childhood Education career pathway and leads to the one-year certificate and the Associate of Applied Science degree. It also contributes to the Early Childhood Development Transfer to Southern Oregon University or Early Intervention Transfer to Western Oregon University transfer degrees.
