The Early Childhood Development Transfer to SOU associate degree program at Rogue Community College is designed for you if you want to work with young children from birth through age eight (8) and their families in roles that do not require a teaching license. This pathway prepares you for meaningful careers in child care centers, preschools, home-based child care, home visiting programs, parent education and early childhood advocacy organizations, as well as support roles in higher education and community settings.

This Associate of Science degree is built on a signed articulation agreement with Southern Oregon University, creating a clear and well-aligned transfer experience. When you complete the program, you will be prepared to transfer directly into a bachelor’s program that aligns with professional standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, helping you continue toward leadership and advancement in the early childhood field.
