Financial aid comes in many forms: grants, scholarships, work-study, and loans. Some aid is free money you never have to pay back. Some is earned through part-time work. Some is borrowed.
Most students who apply receive some form of aid. Applying for aid does not commit
you to attending.
Are You Eligible?
Most U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens can apply for federal aid using the FAFSA
(Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Oregon residents who don't qualify for
the FAFSA may apply for state aid using the ORSAA. To qualify for most aid, you must
be enrolled in an eligible RCC program, have a high school diploma or GED® certificate,
and be making satisfactory academic progress.
What Aid Is Available?
Aid amounts depend on your financial need, enrollment level, and the type of aid. For the 2026–27 school year, students may qualify for up to $7,395 in Federal Pell Grants, up to $4,320 through the Oregon Opportunity Grant, and more.
