The Early Childhood Education – Basic Career Pathway Certificate prepares you to work with infants, toddlers and preschoolers and their families. This program prepares you to assist in child care centers, home-based child care, preschools, home visiting programs and parent education settings.

This short-term certificate is designed for new students and those already working in early childhood education. It fulfills the formal training requirement for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and the requirements for Oregon Registry: Pathways to Professional Recognition in Childhood Care and Education (ORO) Step 7.

The ECE – Basic certificate is the first step in the Early Childhood Education career pathway and leads to advanced certificates and the Early Childhood Education Associate of Applied Science degree.

Program Highlights
