Rogue Community College’s Nursing program prepares you to become a registered nurse and step confidently into today’s health care workforce. You build strong foundations in patient care, clinical judgment, communication and leadership while learning how to support individuals, families and communities. Students graduate with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing.
Registered nurses play a vital role in health care settings. You assess patients, administer medications and treatments, collaborate with physicians and guide nursing support staff. Through classroom learning, hands-on skills labs and supervised practicum experiences, you gain the knowledge and confidence to provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care. When you graduate, you are prepared to pursue licensure and enter the workforce with the skills employers value.
As a member of the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education, RCC delivers a curriculum developed in partnership with community colleges across the state and Oregon Health and Science University, giving you access to a high-quality, collaborative nursing education.
RCC’s Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program is a special admission program, which means you must meet additional requirements and complete a separate admission process beyond general RCC admission. The application window is December through Feb. 15, and classes begin in the fall. Following completion of all prerequisite courses (minimum 45 credits) and acceptance to the program, the ADN program is designed to take two years (fall-winter-spring, fall-winter-spring).
