The Rogue Community College Medical Assistant Bridge certificate program helps you advance from a medical office administrative role into clinical medical assisting. If you are already working in a health care setting — such as a medical receptionist, patient service specialist or administrative assistant — this program builds on your experience and helps you develop new clinical skills while continuing to work.
You will learn essential patient care procedures, including phlebotomy, electrocardiography, medication administration support and clinical documentation. Coursework combines online learning with hands-on lab training and a supervised practicum experience. This pathway allows you to build on your existing knowledge, earn industry-recognized credentials and move into a clinical role more quickly than starting a program from the beginning.
If you are new to health care or not currently working in a medical office, the Medical Assistant link certificate program provides full clinical and administrative training to help you enter the workforce quickly.
