Rogue Community College’s Advanced Emergency Care Certificate prepares students who have completed EMT training and hold an associate or higher-level degree to skill up and become a paramedic quickly. This four-term certificate runs from fall through summer and offers a focused pathway for advancing your career without committing to an additional degree.
You will build advanced clinical and decision-making skills through coursework, labs, clinical experiences and a supervised practicum that mirrors the demands of real-world emergency medical services. Upon completion, you are eligible to take the NREMT Paramedic cognitive exam and pursue Oregon Paramedic licensure. Credit for Prior Learning may be available, helping you build on your previous training and move forward with confidence.
The application process opens April 1 each year and typically closes in early June for fall entry.
