How to Get Started
Getting started at Rogue Community College is simple. Follow these steps to enroll and begin working toward your goals.
- Apply to Rogue Community College: It’s free and only takes a few minutes online.
- Complete the Placement Process: This shows what math and writing classes you should start with first.
- Attend a New Student Orientation: Provides crucial information on campus resources, academic expectations and student life, helping you feel more prepared and connected.
- Attend a First Term Advising Session: Academic Advisors help you choose classes and plan your schedule.
- Register for Classes: Once your schedule is set, you’re ready start your first term.
After you Apply
After acceptance into the program, you will complete health and safety requirements needed for practicum experiences involving direct patient care. Program staff will guide you through the process and communicate next steps through your RCC student email.
Health Requirements
- Review immunization requirements.
Gather official immunization records.
Schedule any needed vaccinations through your primary care provider or county health department. - Obtain American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider CPR & First Aid Certification (BLS).
- May be taken during coursework.
- Must be completed before practicum begins.
Screening Requirements
- Complete a criminal background check.
- Complete a 10-panel urine drug screen.
Important: Instructions for starting your background check, drug screen and uploading immunization
records will be provided during program orientation.
Some requirements have associated fees.
It is important to monitor your RCC student email closely before and after acceptance,
as all updates and deadlines are shared there. Students who do not complete required
steps on time may be withdrawn from the program.
