Completing placement helps match you with math and writing classes that fit your current skills, saving you time and money as you work toward your goals.
How to Complete Placement
You can complete the Placement Process in the way that works best for you. Choose one or more of the options below:
- Complete the Self-Guided Placement form.
- Email any of the following unofficial documents to recruitmentFREERogue%20Community%20College:
- College transcripts.
- Test scores, including GED® or Accuplacer.
- ACT or SAT scores.
Self-Guided Placement
Many credit courses have prerequisites that require a certain level of math and writing skills. Self-Guided Placement helps you identify where you feel most comfortable so you can start in the right classes.
With this option, you answer questions about your writing and math experience. Your responses help provide an initial course placement and allow you to move forward with registration. These placements are used to meet course prerequisites.
We encourage you to complete the entire form. There are no right or wrong answers, and we can accept any combination of responses.
After you submit the form, Admissions and Recruitment will review your information and process your initial placement. You will receive an email with next steps once your submission has been reviewed.
