The GED® — General Educational Development — is a series of tests that earn you the
equivalent of a high school diploma. Getting your GED diploma is a great step toward
your future. Rogue Community College makes it easy to get started. Here is how to
get started.
How it Works
- Check your eligibility. You must be at least 16 years old and not have a high school diploma. If you are 16 or 17, you will need to complete paperwork with the Southern Oregon Education Service District before attending orientation. Call us at 541-956-7490 for help.
- Attend an orientation. All new students must attend an orientation. You will learn about the program, complete your free admission application and take a placement assessment to find the right class level for you.
- Enroll in classes. Classes cost $65 per term and are offered on campus and online. Classes are optional for general GED® students, and required for ESL/ELA students.
- Prepare for your exam. Work toward your goals at your own pace. Your advisor can help you track your progress and plan next steps.
- Schedule your GED® exam. Visit GED.com to create an account, schedule your exams and make payments. Testing is available in English and Spanish. For help, call 877-392-6433.
