Rogue Community College maintains insurance coverage to help protect the institution, students, employees, volunteers, and college operations. The Risk Management Department serves as the primary point of contact for insurance-related questions, certificates of insurance and coverage requests.

Request a Certificate of Insurance

A certificate of insurance provides proof of coverage for contracts, events or partnerships.

Certificates may be required when:

  • Hosting a college event at an off-campus location.
  • Entering into a contract with a third party.

Requests may involve:

  • A third party requesting proof of RCC coverage.
  • RCC requesting proof of insurance from a vendor or contractor.

Submit a Request

Provide the following information to the Risk Management Department:

  • Description of the contract or event, including a copy of the agreement.
  • Event location, if applicable.
  • Start and end dates.
  • Certificate holder name and address.
  • Certificate holder email and phone number.
  • RCC contact name, phone number and email.
  • Requested insurance limits, if applicable.

If limits are not specified, standard coverage limits will be used.

RCC cannot add additional insured endorsements. If requested, Risk Management will provide a standard explanation letter.

Vendor and Contractor Requirements

Vendors and contractors working with RCC are generally required to maintain minimum insurance coverage of:

  • $1,000,000 per occurrence.
  • $2,000,000 general aggregate.

RCC must be listed as an additional insured when required by contract.

Depending on the nature of the work, additional coverage such as automobile liability or workers' compensation insurance may also be required.

Unpaid interns and practicum students placed at RCC are considered volunteers. Volunteer documentation must be completed and submitted to Human Resources.

Workers' compensation insurance provides benefits to employees who experience work-related injuries or illnesses.
