Rogue Community College is committed to protecting the health and well-being of students and employees. The college follows applicable public health guidance and maintains procedures for responding to communicable disease concerns that may affect the campus community.

Illness Prevention and Response
Students and employees who are ill should follow current public health recommendations and take appropriate steps to prevent the spread of illness.
Individuals should:
- Stay home when sick.
- Follow guidance from healthcare providers and public health agencies.
- Avoid close contact with others when experiencing symptoms of a communicable disease.
Review current recommendations from local and state public health authorities.
Measles Immunization Requirements
Oregon law requires certain students to verify measles immunization.
This applies to students born on or after Jan. 1, 1957 who participate in:
- Clinical experiences in allied health programs.
- Practicum experiences in education and childcare programs.
- Intercollegiate athletics.
Students in the following programs may be required to submit documentation:
- Dental Assistant
- Early Childhood Education
- Emergency Medical Services
- Human Services
- Medical Assistant
- Nursing
- Pharmacy Technician
- Practical Nursing
- Select skills training programs
- Sterile Processing Technician
Students must complete required immunization documentation before participating in applicable clinical, practicum, or athletic activities. Individual departments may request additional documentation as required by program standards.
The Risk Management Department completes required annual reporting to the State of Oregon.
