High school liaisons and counselors play an important role in supporting students participating in College Now.Clear communication and coordination help students understand their options and successfully earn college credit while in high school.
Your Role
As a College Now liaison or counselor, you will:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for College Now students at your school.
- Support student enrollment and participation in approved courses.
- Share information about deadlines, requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate with RCC staff to ensure program consistency and accuracy.

How You Support Teachers and Students
You may assist in the following ways:
- Ensure teachers have the current report with RCC ID#’s for their students (reports are uploaded to an RCC SharePoint site).
- Serve as a liaison between College Now teachers and RCC when teachers need additional support.
- Guide students through the RCC admissions and registration process.
- Help ensure teachers are reading and responding to communications from the College
Now office.
Attend College Now meetings to stay informed and connected.
Frequently Asked Questions
- RCC ID# reports are uploaded about six weeks before the RCC term starts. If you need a report sooner, contact Rachel Ostroskie at 541-956-7170 or [email protected].
- Grade reports are uploaded after the RCC term ends once grades are verified by the RCC Registrar.
- Check the College Now Calendarfor deadlines and grade availability.
- Students should keep their username and password in a secure place.
- To reset a password, students click the “forgot password” link under the log in box and check their email within 24 hours.
- The RCC Student Email address is your student's username. In general student email
addresses are in this format:
- firstname.lastname.last4ofStudentID @student.roguecc.edu For example: ossie.osprey.4567 @student.roguecc.edu
- Students cannot earn college credit if they missthe adddeadline.
- There is a deadline to dropa course.If they do not drop by the deadline, they will have to withdraw before the eighth week of the RCC term. Their transcript will show aWfor the course.
- Students who miss thewithdrawdeadline will receive the grade earned in the class, even if it is a D or F.
- If a student moves and does not withdraw, contact the College Now office at RCC.
- Without communication, the student will receive an Fgrade.
