Associate Degree
Riverside Campus
Rogue Community College’s Human Services Transfer to Southern Oregon University (SOU) degree is a special admission program, which means you must meet additional requirements and complete a separate admission process beyond general college admission. These steps help you enter the program with confidence and understand the field you are preparing to join. The program starts in fall term, and applications for fall 2026-27 close Aug. 30, 2026, at 5 p.m.
Getting Started
Step 1: Attend a mandatory Human Services information session.
There are no sign-ups, just watch a quick orientation video! It’s OK to view before
or after you apply for admission to the college, but this step is required prior to
applying the Human Services program. See the Prerequisites & Requirements page for more information.
Step 2: Apply to Rogue Community College.
It’s free and only takes a few minutes online.
Step 3: Complete the Human Services Application.
Students will be notified of their status via their RCC student email.
Step 4: Complete the Placement Process.
This shows what math and writing classes you should start with.
Step 5: Meet with an Academic Advisor and register for classes.
Your Academic Advisor will help you choose classes and plan your schedule. Once your
schedule is set, you’re ready to register!
Step 6: Attend your program orientation.
If you are accepted into the program, you must attend a mandatory advising and orientation
session in September. You will receive the date, time and location in your acceptance
materials.
