The Addiction Studies Certificate at Rogue Community College helps you build the knowledge and skills needed to support individuals, families and communities impacted by substance use. In this three-term certificate, you learn practical, client-centered strategies that prepare you to enter the workforce quickly and begin your path toward becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
This program is designed for students who want to complete the educational requirements
for CADC certification. In addition to coursework, CADC certification requires field
experience and a passing score on the state exam. Because some classes are offered
only once each year, you may need more than one calendar year to finish all requirements.
Throughout your training, RCC provides a supportive learning environment focused on
ethical practice, professional communication, and effective service delivery.
