Apprenticeship
Table Rock Campus
The Millwright Apprenticeship Program accepts applications year-round. All applicants are ranked to determine selection order. Preference is given in the following order:
- Applicants already employed with a training agent.
- Applicants with related experience or training.
- General applicants with no related background.
Application Process
Applying for an apprenticeship can take time, and openings are limited. Some programs accept applications year-round, while others open only during specific times of the year.
Being placed in an applicant pool does not guarantee immediate placement. Candidates are selected as positions become available, so it is important to plan ahead and continue working while you wait.
Step 1: Meet the Minimum Requirements
Review the minimum qualifications for your apprenticeship program to ensure you are
eligible to apply.
Step 2: Submit an Online Apprenticeship Application
Complete and submit the online apprenticeship application through WorkHands during
the program’s open application period.
Step 3: Participate in the Selection Process
Qualified applicants will participate in the program’s selection process. Selection
procedures vary by program and may include applicant ranking, interviews, applicant
pool systems, random drawings, or other program-specific requirements.
Step 4: Accept Your Apprenticeship Offer
If you are selected by an approved training agent and accepted into the apprenticeship
program, you will be contacted with the next steps to complete your apprenticeship
registration and RCC enrollment.
Where to Apply
Apprenticeship applications are available through WorkHands.
Pathway to Apprenticeship
Tip: To increase your chances of entering the program, we highly encourage applicants to secure employment with one of our training agents — even in an entry-level role. Find approved training agents by going to Oregon BOLI Apprenticeship and searching for program MA #5002.
