Rogue Community College’s Electrician Apprenticeship Technologies Certificate program allows registered apprentices to earn a college credential while completing their state-approved apprenticeship and working toward journeyman status. Designed for apprentices enrolled in the Inside Electrician, Manufacturing Plant Electrician and Sign Electrician programs, this certificate program builds on required apprenticeship training by adding for-credit general education courses that strengthen communication, problem-solving and workplace skills.
Coursework for this program aligns with Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries apprenticeship standards and supports the technical knowledge needed to safely install, maintain and repair electrical systems in compliance with National Electrical Code and Oregon Specific Codes. This certificate is part of Rogue Community College’s Electrician Apprenticeship Pathway, a stairstep model that allows apprentices to continue into the Electrician Apprenticeship Technologies Associate of Applied Science degree or pursue a transfer pathway into a bachelor’s degree at Oregon Tech.
