Table Rock Campus
In the fall, you will check in with your advisor and take classes in basic diesel electricity, diesel practices, engine diagnosis and welding. In the winter, you learn about heavy‑equipment power trains, brake systems and preventative maintenance. In the spring, you continue with diesel electricity, suspension and steering systems and fuel systems. In the summer, you check in with your advisor again and finish the program with a course in air‑conditioning for diesel technicians.
Graduation Requirements
The Diesel Specialist certificate requires the completion of 43 program credits. Students must complete all courses outlined in this program with a grade of “C” or better to earn a certificate. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with an Academic Advisor or faculty advisor before beginning any coursework.
