Oregon Promise

The Oregon Promise Grant helps recent Oregon high school and GED® graduates start college with little to no tuition costs at Rogue Community College and other Oregon community colleges.

Timing matters. Most students must apply during their senior year of high school — before graduation — or immediately after completing the GED®. You also need to start college the next term after you graduate, not including summer.The application is open for students who graduate or complete the GED® between July 1 and June 30. Apply as early as possible so you do not miss your deadline and can take full advantage of this opportunity.

What the Grant Covers

Oregon Promise helps pay for tuition after other grants are applied. You may still be responsible for fees, books and other education-related costs.

Who Can Apply

You may be eligible if you:

Graduate from an Oregon high school or complete the GED® test in Oregon.
Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Apply during your senior year or soon after completing the GED® test.
Plan to enroll at an Oregon community college within six months of graduation.
Meet Oregon residency requirements.

Submit your Oregon Promise application through the OSAC Student Portal by the published deadline.
Complete the FAFSA or ORSAA as part of the application process by the same published deadline.
Check your email for updates and next steps.

The application is open for students who graduate between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
