Launch your real estate career in just 10 weeks with this accelerated, hybrid Oregon Real Estate Broker Pre‑License Training program at Rogue Community College.
You’ll complete the 150‑hour Oregon Real Estate Agency (OREA) requirement through a blend of live evening lectures and online home study — designed to keep you on track and fully prepared.
The course includes 11 total sessions (10 Tuesday evenings plus one Saturday exam‑prep day). Attendance at all sessions is strongly recommended.
Note: The state licensing exam is not included in this class.
This program is taught by an Oregon Real Estate Agency (OREA)‑certified instructor, and both the course and instructor are fully approved by the state.
Program Highlights
What You Will Learn:
- Understand the requirements of real estate license law under ORS chapter 696 and OAR
Understand agency law and affirmative duties owed under ORS 696.800-696.880. - Be competent in the knowledge of real estate contracts in all forms.
- Explain and describe property management requirements under ORS 696 and OAR 863 while engaging in the management of rental real estate.
- Be competent in the area of real estate law, including general law and Oregon-specific law.
- Understand finance concepts and formulas commonly used in conducting real estate activity.
- Be competent in the knowledge and skill required to work for a real estate brokerage.
Prerequisites & Requirements
To obtain a broker license, an individual must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma, GED® or international equivalent.
- Take and pass the Broker course through Rogue Community College ($650).
- Apply for a broker license through the State of Oregon Real Estate Agency ($300).
- Take and pass the Broker exam through PSI ($75).
- Complete fingerprint process through PSI for background check ($61.25).
- Find a real estate company with a principal broker who agrees to supervise you once licensed.
