Creating a scholarship is a meaningful way to support Rogue Community College students and help them move quickly into the workforce with the education and training they need to succeed. Scholarships directly reduce financial barriers and expand access to education across all programs and areas of study.

The RCC Foundation offers several ways to establish a scholarship based on donor goals, gift level and long-term intent. Foundation staff are available to help design a scholarship that reflects your priorities and supports student success.

Scholarship Options

Named Annual Scholarship

  • Minimum $1,000 per year award.
  • Requires a three-year pledge paid annually.
  • May include limited, donor-defined eligibility criteria.
  • May be named as specified in the scholarship agreement.

One-Time Named General Scholarship

  • Minimum $2,000 one-time donation.
  • May be named as specified in the scholarship agreement.

Gifts Under $2,000

Unless otherwise designated, scholarship gifts under $2,000 are directed to the RCC Rogue Hero Endowed Fund. This fund supports scholarships for students across all programs and majors and may also be used for special projects benefiting faculty, staff and students.

Donors may also request that gifts under $2,000 be applied to an existing named annual scholarship or endowment.

Endowments

  • Minimum $10,000 to establish an endowment.
  • May include limited, donor-defined eligibility criteria.
  • May be named as specified in the endowment agreement.
  • May be funded through cash, stocks or estate gifts.

Endowed scholarship awards are distributed based on a percentage of investment earnings determined by the RCC Foundation Investment Committee using a three-year rolling average. Donors may fund an endowment over a period of up to five years.

Many donors choose to support students immediately while building an endowment by making two annual gifts: one that grows the endowment and one that provides current scholarship awards. This approach allows donors to support students right away while building a legacy.
