Program Overview
RCC’s partnership with Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) and Providence Medford Medical Center makes it possible to earn a two-year Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology in the Rogue Valley. This special admission program provides a blend of online instruction through LBCC, in-person labs at RCC’s Table Rock Campus and clinical experience in the operating room at Providence Medford Medical Center. Students can complete thier prerequisites at RCC and other required courses (Anatomy and Physiology, Math, Writing, Communication, etc.)
Graduates are prepared to take the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam, administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. This program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Prerequisites
The Surgical Technology program is offered through Linn-Benton Community College. To apply, students must complete the following courses which can be taken at Rogue Community College:
- BI 231: Human Anatomy & Physiology I
- MTH 75 or higher (Linn-Benton); RCC equivalent, MTH 65
- WR 121Z: Composition I
