Event title: RWC: Halloween Day Party
Description:

Halloween decorations, free candy, and fun. Students will be encouraged to wear costumes as there will be a costume contest. ASG will also have games to play and a scavenger hunt.

Join us at the Redwood Campus, Student Center, Game Room from 11-1 p.m. and again in the Library at Redwood Campus from 5 to 7 p.m.

Event title: RWC: L building Open House
Description:

You are invited to the Fall Open House at the Redwood Campus, L Building on October 31st, 2017 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Lunch is provided by TRiO ROC as well as give-a-ways, candy, and so much more.

Many changes have been made to L Building:

  • TRiO EOC has changed their name to TRiO ROC (Rogue Opportunity Center)
  • Veteran Services has moved to the L Building
  • Student Employment has joined Career Services

This is an RCC Club chartered through the Associated Student Government RCC at the Redwood Campus. There is no cost to come to these meetings. Christ on Campus is a group of students who get together and read scripture on Wednesdays during the term from 1-1:40 p.m.

Event title: Dental Assistant Information Session
Description:

Are you interested in making a good living with benefits as a dental assistant? You can learn all about it in a free informational meeting coming up at Rogue Community College (RCC).

RCC’s Allied Health Occupations department, Dental Assistant program staff will be hosting two information sessions about the College’s one-year certificate offering for dental assistants. One on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 3 p.m. on the Redwood campus in Grants Pass, Oregon, G-building, Room 3. The second one on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at 1:30, on Riverside Campus, A Building, Room 21, 202 South Riverside Avenue, Medford.

Attending this session is mandatory for anyone planning on applying for admission into this limited entry educational opportunity. In the program, students will receive classroom instruction and practical training designed to help them develop the necessary skills to secure good-paying positions in high demand jobs in the healthcare industry.

It is financial aid eligible. Upon graduation, students will be prepared for living wage employment opportunities in a dental office.

Event title: OSAC Scholarship
Description:

One Easy Application for $18 million in Scholarships. Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) Applications are open for state-sponsored scholarships through March 1, 2018. Apply Today at https://oregonstudentaid.gov/scholarships.aspx.

Scholarship Application Timeline & Deadlines

  1. Early fall: Begin searching and selecting scholarship opportunities in the OSAC Scholarship Catalog. Return often, as new scholarships are always being added.
  2. October: File your FAFSA or ORSAA as soon as possible after October 1. Doing so will ensure you are considered for all scholarships that consider financial need.
  3. November - February: Start your OSAC scholarship application and submit from November through March 1. You can save and come back to your application before you submit.
    • First-time applicants: create an OSAC account and start the OSAC Scholarship Application.
    • Returning applicants: refresh and update your application from last year.
    • High school juniors may start a "test application", but cannot submit until their year of graduation.
  4. February 15*: Early Bird deadline. Complete applications (including transcripts) submitted by this date will be entered into a drawing for one of several $1,000 Early Bird scholarship awards.
  5. March 1*: Final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
  6. April - August: Track your application status and scholarship awards in the OSAC Student Portal.

 * If a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, it will automatically be extended to 5:00 p.m. (PST) of the following business day.
